I wish something like this existed for all of the classes. The only diference is that some Jobs are harder than others. black mage is def gonna have higher numbers, so if you love seeing big numbers black mage is best for you. Major weaknesses of the BLM is that it has to learn every single fight as if it's re-learning the class from scratch. But go with whatever you like dude. RDM a staple job in progression with a less punishing kit and more mobility with less dps potiental but drops off as it reaches farmed raids. Of course, pick whichever you feel like you will have more fun with, because in the end as long as you have fun and enjoy the game, that is all that matters. RDM is lower-middle of the pack, but has a Raise spell to support the party. However, Black Mage has EXPLOOOOOOOOOSIONS. They can use the second-best Armor to the Warrior in the early game, can use most of the best Weapons until the mid-game, and get a decent selection of both Black and White magic. In fact BLM has the highest damage output out of any DPS class once you learn how to play it properly. Thanks in advanced! I'd go for BLM since RDM get's mindbogglingly boring after while, getting it to 70 was an absolute shore compared to BLM. Giving a Red Mage White Magic 6 or Black Magic 6 will enable them to doublecast spells up to level 6 of that particular school of magic. In my experience it -does- favor a quick mind - it is easy to fall out your optimal rotation as your targets and procs change, which can pull you down from your max DPS, overall. Black Mage and Red Mage will talk about comics, mostly about who would win in a fight between certain comic book characters. Been playing it for awhile now and though it's fun...it feels a little lackluster comparatively to a Black Mage. Red mage is highly sought after in group content for their utility. I personally find the RDM gameplay to be so much fun. HELP D:! Not because SMN literally gets new rotations, but because it has several mechanics tacked on as you level, but more on that in its own section. They also share gear which is really handy. Red Magic allows the use of White or Black Magic up to level 3. Starting with "A Realm Reborn" and the expansions include "Heavensward", "Stormblood", and "Shadowbringers"! I said no class is more representative of what it should be than White Mage, and that might be true except for Red Mage. I unfortunately can not tell you much about Dancer. It turns out the Red Wizard is the best mage because it has slightly more powerful helm and gloves that only it can use, but it needs the Diamond Armlet otherwise it's weaker defensively at end game compared to the other two mages. However, of all the magical DPS jobs, the Red Mage… You don't play RDM if you want a class that does the best DPS or close to it. Red Mage and Black Mage learn this the hard way when neither of them set aside the magical resources to actually use the spell. It has a semi-complex rotation to learn but relatively simple one to execute. Red mage mobility is much stronger then BLM but later in will fall off as not many groups will want you once they’ve gotten their raids on farm. Samurai on the other hand is around 10K to 11K DPS between the High End and Eden, being the 2nd and 3rd highest dps beside Monk, and only losing or winning over it by about 100 avg. This is the correct answer. It's a rock star of leveling, however, between its simple rotation and gaining strong abilities quickly with no major gimmick holding it back in practice. Dualcast lets the player use Red Magic (cast two level 3 Black or White Magic at once), but given to a Summoner, they will be able to summon two summons at once, and given to a Time Mage, they can cast two Time Magicspells at once. Enjoy! If it's not button A, then it's button B. Main article: Skull The Skull in Disgaea is the male magic user. When I'm shaving off whole percentages of a boss, I don't need a parser to know I'm contributing. Black mage is stronger and more useful as a whole tbh. I would not describe it as a Hybrid-type class mostly because it focuses on caring about one specific thing when it's at a certain phase of its rotation, not caring about everything at all times. Final Fantasy X-2 has the Black Mage dressphere. Black Mage in terms of what I've seen looks pretty fun gameplay wise. I've played so many classes and somewhat mastered them, but I always go back to RDM. I have been playing this game for a week and when i first bought it i wanted to play a red mage, and after starting a BLM and lvling it to 50 i can't decide whether to keep playing it or level a red mage to 70 first as they both look fun at higher levels. Summoner is my next favorite. Been watching videos, reading posts about both classes and i still can't decide. So satisfying. But srsly it's personal taste. Next, your mage-users should all equip the Red Mage’s MP Free in a Pinch and the Wizard’s Full Charge and have Time Mage assigned as a secondary job. Its AoE rotation is also really awkward at certain sections or flat out doesn't exist for some sections, so it can be difficult to play well in dungeons. The Red Mage does learn Dualcast at an absurd level though, which can break the game if used properly. And it's quite enjoyable to see a significant change in health bars when you cast one spell. Red Mage has been a fun class ever since it launched with the Stormblood expansion. Square-Enix had their work cut out for them with Red Mage. Excellent summary. I personally enjoy the semi-chaotic nature of the rotation, especially in content where I can make use of the enhanced rush/melee-combo/retreat for a damage spike. Looks like you're using new Reddit on an old browser. In later content I find it's pretty easy to peak in skill for RDM but other classes seem to have something you can improve. "Fighter, sword, door, go." RDM is the more beginner friendly pick of the two, though. The class changes rather substantially at levels 34 (Altered recovery from UF), 40 (Entirely different handling of AF/UI juggling, a further expansion of the change at 34), 50 (substantial alterations to AoE rotation), and especially 60 (Where Fire 4 completely throws everything you knew about the ST rotation out the window, again), as well as 68 (Because you thought you knew the AoE rotation, but now it's completely different, AGAIN). It also changes the most of any class in the game as it levels. It's better to explain how they differ and their general playstyle and let the reader make up their mind on what will best suit them. Neither have especially complicated rotations, but BLM is harder to play in boss fights than its simple rotation would suggest because it needs to stand still to cast everything. Finally your Wizard should equip Ventriloquism, while your Yokais equip the Red Mage’s Chainspell. =====[Timestamps]===== Black Mage - 1:25 Summoner - 7:58 Red Mage - 14:56 Rankings - 19:58 Sorry it took so long to get this out!
